University of the third age (U3A)

The U3A is an organisation of older people which enables members to share many educational, creative and leisure activities. It is a university in the original sense of the word: a collective of people devoted to learning and members are in their third age.

Anyone in the third age can join U3A providing they are no longer in full time occupation – all you need is interest and enthusiasm. It is called a university, but it has members, not students. No qualifications are required and none are given.

U3A members organise their own activities by drawing on the skills of one another. They share their knowledge and experience, and develop their own individual capabilities by learning from other members. Visit the Chichester U3A website for more information. Call 01243 539620 or email Chichester U3A for an information pack.
