Weight loss Workshops

Weight Loss Workshops (WW)

Would you like to lose weight? Do you often feel tired & sluggish? Would you like to have more energy?  

The Weight Loss Workshops take a detailed look at your eating habits, health and lifestyle and will help you to make small and simple changes. The workshops are focused on nutrition and healthy eating and will educate you about food, helping you to lose weight and keep it off!

Each week the workshop leader Sue weighs each person individually and in private. Sue also talks about different topics each week including myths about dieting, portable snacks, blood sugar balance, healthy breakfast ideas, stress and weight gain, good mood foods and emotional eating, along with providing recipe and snack ideas.

Brian attended the Weight Loss Workshops at Swanfield Community Centre. He did really well and lost over 2 stone!

Brian said "The Wellbeing Weight Loss Workshops are different to other weight loss groups. They educate you to be healthy minded and dispel all the myths about dieting. WW teaches you about nutrition and I now eat really well – and I’m honestly not hungry!

I’ve tried foods that I never would have thought of trying before and food just tastes better now! And the good thing is that you can still have the odd treat. WW teaches you the 80:20 rule, which means 80% of what we eat should be healthy and 20% can still be a treat."

To join the Weight Loss Workshops you need to be above a healthy weight (with a BMI of 25 or more). You can calculate your BMI by clicking here

The Workshops cost £2.50 per week but if you pay for 12 weeks up front you get 2 weeks free! So you pay £25 for the whole 12 week programme.

We currently have Weight Loss Workshops running at;

  • Westgate Leisure Centre (in the Ravenna Room) on Tuesday evenings 7-8pm 
  • Westgate Leisure Centre on Wednesdays 10-11am
  • The Grange, Midhurst on Wednesdays 3-4pm
  • The Selsey Centre on Thursdays 12.15-1.15pm

If you want to get a headstart you can download the Wellbeing Weight Loss Workshop Food Diary here. Food diaries can be a great help if you're trying to eat more healthily and lose weight. Have a go at filling one in for a week and see where you could make some small and simple changes.
